We enjoy partnering with designers, companies and individuals on custom work. Let’s build something together.
The Property Brothers on HGTV
Andy had the opportunity to create custom furniture for the HGTV hit series, “Property Brothers.”
His dining tables were featured in the Property Brothers Season 4, Episode 24, and Property Brothers Season 5, Episode 6.
“My approach is to enhance the natural beauty of the materials I work with, drawing out the shapes and stories found in the wood. I like to let the wood speak, and every piece of wood tells a story.”
~ Andy Gamper
Round Walnut Dining Table
There are few dining experiences as intimate a sitting at a bistro-style round dining table with loved ones.
This modern take incorporates Andy’s organic sense of shape and line paired with a sleek, modern hourglass steel base, resulting in a furniture design that is both functional and sculptural.
Modern Dining Table for Sag Harbor Designer
Designer Alison Babcock challenged Andy with her vision to design a dining table with a solid wood top that had a base made of slender steel.
The idea to use the steel bar allowed the gorgeous English Walnut top to almost “float”, and the decision to powder-coat the steel base white further added to the light, coastal feel of the piece. When asked what a project like this means to him, Andy replied, “When talented designers such as Alison entrust their vision to me, it’s something I treasure. I don’t take it lightly, and honoring their design in the final product is incredibly important to me.”
Nesting Spalted Maple Coffee Tables
Andy created these nesting coffee tables from a single slab of Spalted Maple which he had set aside. The grain in the slab was so stunning and unique that it almost resembled a piece of marble.
Nick and Ola saw the completed coffee tables online and ordered them for their custom-built lakeside home. They then sent some other designs to Andy and commissioned him to locate more spalted maple lumber to design and build two more pieces of custom furniture that could accompany the nesting tables. The inspiring collaboration of client and maker produced a gorgeous waterfall bench for the foyer, as well as an end table for their living room.
LAYERS Coffee Table
One of Andy’s passions is to create sculptural forms which function as furniture.
The LAYERS coffee table is hand-shaped from Spanish Cedar wood, and represents the strata or “layers” of a landscape. The different levels of the solid wood top flow with visual character, and the flat, level planes allow it to function well as a coffee table.
